Tee-Ball is a summer sport which caters for boys and girls from 3.5 to 12 years of age. The sport is based on a modification of baseball where there is no pitching, the ball is placed on an adjustable tee at home plate at a height suitable for the batter and the diamond is 2/3 of the senior size. The game is limited to one hour and an innings is over once either three players are out or nine batters have played, whichever comes first.
The game provides a lot of fun, opportunity for rapid improvement in ball skills, hand-eye coordination and general confidence, as well as one hour of fast moving exciting involvement during the game itself. Parent and family participation is a key element of this sport.
